Middle School and High School Division
Engage in intellectual battles among students from middle school and high school, showcasing their critical thinking skills.
Team Requirement
Form a team of 3-5 talented individuals to participate in the debate competition, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
Judge Participation
Ensure each team brings a knowledgeable judge who will evaluate the debates, adding an extra layer of expertise and accountability. Failure to provide a judge will result in a penalty of 50€.
Zoom Accessibility
Utilize the Zoom platform to conduct the qualifying rounds, providing a convenient and inclusive environment for participants from various locations to engage in debates.

Our 3 Step Registration Process

Complete the Registration Form

Complete and submit the online registration form to provide your team details and necessary information for participation.

Spot Confirmation and Invoice Issuance:

Upon successful review of your registration, you will receive confirmation of your team's spot in the debate competition along with the issuance of an invoice.

Payment Confirmation

Make the payment for the registration fee as per the instructions provided in the invoice to finalize your team's participation in the debate competition. In the days before the tournament you will be provided with the links and technical details for participating in the tournament.

  • The registration fee is 25€ per debater. For example for a team of three debaters this amounts to 75€. Additionally the tournament applies N=1 rule for judges. This means that e.g. if you register for 3 teams you need to bring 3 judges. If you are not able to provide the judges a 50€ penalty for each missing judge will be applied.
  • The tournament applies N=1 rule for judges, e.g. if you register for 1 team you need to bring 1 judge, (if you register 3 teams you would need to bring 3 judges). If you are not able to provide the judges a 50€ penalty for each missing judge will be applied on top of the registration fee.
  • If you are unable to afford the registration please fill in the following registration form: https://forms.gle/hk2NNeoN1XdFeCd79 and submit an official request for a fee waiver along with explaining your situation. Your request will be considered and you will be notified of the decision about the reduction of registration fees in the next week.
  • The tournament lasts for three days. The first two days there are five rounds where all the teams who registered compete and debate. However, on the last days only the top teams compete in the eliminatory rounds which consist of for example Quarterfinals, Semi Finals and Finals for the Open category where the team who wins advances to the next round. The term “breaking teams” referring to the teams who will compete in the eliminatory rounds in the category they are eligible for on the last day. There are several categories of the tournament (e.g. Novice teams, Junior teams…). After you have registered, you will receive an additional form where each team can declare whether they fall under one of the offered categories based on the requirements for eligibility which will be explained in the header of the form.
